Born in Brisbane, Australia, Isobel holds the distinction of being one of the youngest ever graduates of the University of Sydney, having auditioned for the Conservatorium of Music at 14. During her years at university she studied the piano with Clemens Leske Jr, the clarinet with Ros Dunlop, began her journey as a conductor and developed a love of contemporary repertoire and chamber music.
